MOMA TITANIUM MINERALS MINE SKID PUMPS

Moma mine located in Mozambique required skid mounted VSD booster pump stations to be located on the beach where they remove titanium mineral deposit. These pump stations can then be moved to a new location as required.

For Phase 1 Hamar Controls was awarded the contract to procure and manufacture the pump stations E-houses and LV Switchgear. These E-houses contain an MV Switch, a VSD and switchgear to drive a large pump. A three-meter shipping container that is modified was a perfect fit for the job for the smaller skids and a six-meter shipping container was used for the larger skids. Hamar Controls have completed several orders for similar skid applications.

For Phase 2 Hamar Controls was awarded the contract to procure, manufacture and supply two purpose built mobile electric substations and various containerised E-houses for the skid mounted pumps. The two purpose built substations were designed and manufactured, starting from the base frames up to the installation of the Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Equipment.
