CONCENTRATED PHOTO VOLTAIC PLANT NEAR TOUWSRIVER

The project is a 36 MW Concentrated Photovoltaic (CPV) Solar Power plant with dual axis trackers in Touwsriver. It provides solar renewable energy directly into the national grid. It forms part of the South African Department of Energy’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP)

Hamar Controls secured the contract for the installation, termination and testing of all cables to and from the 1500 tracking panels. This Included the DC cabling from the trackers to the combiner boxes, the DC cabling from the combiner boxes to the inverter panels and the MV cabling from the inverter panels to the main substation.
