STUDY FOR MAJUBA POWER STATION TRAIN OFFLOADING OPTIMISATION
ESKOM Majuba received their coal via road and rail and wanted to receive their annual coal supply via rail only. Because the existing rail yard will then become critical, the equipment had to have very high reliability and availability.
Hamar Controls were subcontracted by Demcotech engineering to assist with the E,C&I scope of work. The scope of work was for the engineering and design and would cover modifications to the existing tandem tippler, a new Indexer, modifications to the tippler plant dust suppression system, modifications to the existing reclaim belt feeder system, upgrade and replacement of the E&I equipment, upgrade Eskom DCS and HMI
